Who We Are

Founded in 2019 by siblings Mr. Ujay Swaby, and Ms. Janeka Swaby. Lava Financing and Investments Limited began as a partnership company driven by a vision for financial empowerment in Jamaica. In 2022, recognizing the potential to make a greater impact along with the passing of a law by the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) stating no company who has not obtained the Microcredit License should not be operating as a financial institution. Lava Financing and Investments Limited (LFI Ltd) transitioned to a company Limited facilitating the Microcredit license application. After a rigorous approval process, Lava Financing and Investments Limited is now proudly regulated by the Bank of Jamaica after receiving their Microcredit license in November 2023, solidifying its commitment to ethical responsible financial practices. Today, we continue to serve the Jamaican people with integrity, offering accessible financial solutions to empower individuals.
